Gage Crosby accomplishes Boys 100yard breaststroke gold -
High School State Championships
Gage Crosby of Bentonville High School served notice of his talent by accomplishing gold medal of the Boys 100yard breaststroke on concluding day of the Arkansas High School State Championships for Boys and Girls in Little Rock on February 25.
Crosby outshined his competitors with his laudable effort in the 100yard discipline. With his relentless efforts, he remained prominently ahead of his rivals from the start of the race and ended his sprint in a time of 57.15 seconds for gold medal.
He was chased by Blair Bish of Little Rock Central High School, who was 2.09 seconds slower from him and emerged on the concluding wall with the timing of 59.24 seconds for second position. Bish stayed nearly three seconds away from his subsequent swimmer
and his teammate, Liston Barber, who seized third finest spot of the swim in a time of 1 minute and 02.47 seconds.
Meanwhile, the relay squad of Bentonville High School upset their opponents by clinching gold medal of the Girls 400yard freestyle relay team. With her unrelenting effort, the relay team posted a phenomenal 3 minutes and 57.74 seconds effort for gold medal.
They were trailed by relay team of Mountain Home High School, which remained almost eight seconds slower from their former finisher and reached the victory stand for silver medal by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 05.76 seconds. Fayetteville High School
proved their dominance for third position of the event as they tapped the finishing end with the timing of 4 minutes and 07.65 seconds.
The third event of the session was Boys 400yard freestyle relay, where once again Bentonville High School dictated terms to their challengers and finished first with an effort of 3 minutes and 20.44 seconds.
With their persistent efforts, they remained nearly four seconds ahead of Little Rock Central High School’s relay squad that notched second position with an effort of 3 minutes and 24.06 seconds. They were trailed by Little Rock Catholic High School, which
pocketed third position of the discipline with a timing of 3 minutes and 26.51 seconds.
Furthermore, winners received medals for their undisputed efforts after the session.
