The Brazilian admits that the team will need a change of plans against Juventus in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic; declares his love for the Rossoneri.
The Rossoneri striker believes that winning the clash against the Bianconeri will be more important for the morale of the team rather than sailing ahead in the points table.
While talking to La Stampa, Robinho said:
"The match against Juventus will be especially crucial for gaining a psychological edge, rather than the position in the league table."
The striker insists that Milan will have to change their game plan in the absence of his strike partner, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is suspended for the game.
“When Ibra plays he’s always close to the penalty area and we have to adapt to his game. However, when he is not available then we have to play differently. He’s a great player, but we’ll now have to find some alternative solutions.”
Considering the fact that Juventus have the best defence in Serie A this season, the absence of a top striker from the Rossoneri ranks is a vital blow for the Italian Champions. The Bianconeri have conceded only 14 goals in 23
games they have played so far.
The former Manchester City striker handed his support to Alexandre Pato, who has been struggling with injuries and form this season. Pato is expected to start against the Turin giants, and Robinho believes that the match is a perfect
opportunity for his compatriot to make his mark.
"Pato is a phenomenon, but [Milan coach Massimiliano] Allegri showed confidence in me and it allowed me to unlock my potential."
Shedding light on his Rossoneri future, the striker expressed his love for the Diavolo, and said:
"I am feeling very good at Milan, if I had my way I'd stay here for another 10 years." Robinho told La Stampa.
Despite a shaky start to the season, the Brazilian star has been in phenomenal form of late, having netted three goals in the last two games for Milan. His pledge of a decade-long allegiance to the club has a lot to do with the
atmosphere at Milanello, with the morale of the team sky-high after the recent victories.
