The only entry in the Grade A3 Early Week Bistro Deal 570, who has raced and won at the similar level before is the two-year-old black and white dog, Gainstown Mike. He will be accompanied by Kiss Me Now, Likeable Dave, Lady Bunty, Kilmessan Bound and Bartlemy
Rocket over the 569 yards trip on Tuesday, 25th September, 2012 at Harold’s Cross. The prize money set for the race is €225.
The Selvin trained bagged the €225 prize money in the Grade A3 Its Your Final Chance To Pick A Winner 570 on 18th September, 2012 at Harold’s Cross over 569 yards.
Leashing out in the blue colour, he led on for the wire from the second position, and held on to the leading form until he reached the wire in 31.83 seconds.
Having the final ¾ of a length in his favour, the winner defeated the favourite entry of the race, Another Project, into the second position.
Taking up the third position behind the winner was, Cavansheath Kirk.
The race turned out to be the first time that Droopys Scholes son won. His tuned up form is being backed by 7 to 2 odds for the challenge tonight. The two-year-old will race out of the third box and does not have a very appealing history with the number.
However, tonight might just be the chance that could change that. Racing from almost the middle of the track will need him to avoid the racing clusters, and the general traffic in the field.
Racing in the Grade A2 company since a while, and taking up the fifth trap for the event tonight, the two-year-old, Kilmessan Bound, has his chances of success surging at 6 to 4.
The last that he raced and qualified as the runner-up was in the Grade A3 was on 22nd June, 2012 in the Trio Jackpots A3 Dual Dist Final at Harold’s Cross over 569 yards. He missed the chance by the slightest margin of a short head’s difference
while the race was won by, Light Foot Molly, in 31.79 seconds.
If he gets the chance to rectify the loss tonight or not will unveil soon.
