Gala Casino Star strong contender for winning the Money Back On The Open At BetVictor.com Handicap
Gala Casino Star won a race at soft ground recently and has got another chance of doing so in the Money Back On The Open At BetVictor.com Handicap at Ayr in England on Monday, July 9, 2012. His victory will earn his owner a cash prize of £4,205.
The class-4 event will start at 16:00 GMT and a total of seven runners will be up against each other. Their stamina will be tested, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.
Looking at the overall conditions, things seem to be working out well for Gala Casino Star, who has been priced 7 to 2 by the bookies. Although he is not known for his consistency, yet it will be a good choice to risk bets on him today.
The seven-year-old gelding was victorious in his most recent race in almost similar conditions. He was given a starting price of 8 to 1 back then and stormed to the top by three lengths and three quarters. He was quite impressive back then and displayed
extremely good stamina, which helped him outperform his rivals including the favourite, Al Furat.
Other than his victory in the previous race, the Geoffrey Harker’s trainee does not have an impressive record in 2012. He has participated in four races this year and was unable to challenge his rivals in the first three.
However, the conditions finally worked out in favour of the Dr Fong’s son out of Abir. His team will be expecting him to deliver a similar show once again.
The Irish gelding might not manage to get the attention of the punters, despite his heroics in the previous race. The main reason behind that is the fact that he has not been able to deliver consistent result over the years. He has participated in a total
of 51 events in his career, winning just seven of them. In addition to that, he ended runner up on five times whereas secured the third spot on the same number of times.
Gala Casino Star will be accompanied by young jockey, Jordan Nason, who will be looking forward to impress one and all with his skills today.
