Galatasaray drop Andrey Arshavin and Nicklas Bendtner hint, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur target Diarra
Galatasaray target Andrey Arshavin and Nicklas Bendtner
Turkish outfit Galatasaray are reportedly preparing to make a bid for Arsenal duo Andrey Arshavin and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726. Sources reveal they are willing to pay up to £20 million for the pair. The Turkish side is looking to boost their squad and reinforce
their dominance in domestic football, having last won the Super Lig back in the 2008 season.
Galatasaray boss Gheorghe Hagi was recently speaking on what his needed to do to improve and the possible transfers during the summer transfer window. Hagi specifically mentioned Arshavin and Bendtner, insisting these players had the potential to lead the
club back to winning ways. Arshavin would provide support in midfield, while Bendtner would supply the much needed firepower.
Russian international Arshavin has lost his place in the starting XI at the Emirates Stadium and was linked with a move away during the January transfer window. He proved his worth for the Gunners by scoring the winning goal against Barcelona in the first
leg of the Champions League, but could be facing an Arsenal exit at the end of the season if the right price is offered.
The same is the case with Bendtner, the young striker has failed to impress apart from a few good performances. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger seems to have lost his patience with the young striker, even though he revealed he was determined to keep Arshavin.
The French manager snubbed interest from London rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 during the winter transfer window, insisting he wished to keep the attacking midfielder.
Manchester United and Tottenham eye Lassana Diarra
English Premier League sides Manchester United and Tottenham are preparing to battle it out for Lassana Diarra, the Read Madrid midfielder. Serie A side Juventus are also reportedly interested in signing the former Portsmouth player at the end of the season.
Diarra arrived at Madrid in 2009 for a price of £20 million but is now expected to be worth at around £12 million.
The 25-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Read Madrid under manager Jose Mourinho, having failed to secure a place in the first team. Diarra is now looking for a move away and it does not seem the Portuguese manager will be too concerned with the French midfielder
leaving the Santiago Bernabeu. Since his arrival at Madrid Diarra has improved his goal scoring form, finding the back of the net four times in 26 appearances this season.
His recent form has caught the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp; both are determined to land the player to reinforce their respective squads. Ferguson will have an open spot as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 is set to retire at the end of the season while
Redknapp needs back up for his injury prone midfield. The Premier League sides face serious competition from Juventus, who are currently in the lead to get Diarra’s signature.
