Galaxy Rock and Trackmate in contention for the Sis Live Handicap Hurdle
The two interesting conflicts in the Class 3 Sis Live Handicap Hurdle are, Galaxy Rock and Trackmate. Both have entirely different reasons for being treated as potential entries in order to take back to the connections the £4,549 prize money on Friday, 5th
October at Fontwell race course over three miles and three furlongs. There are five more four-year-old and above contestants up for the challenge.
The entry with winning prospects as high 3 to 1 is, Galaxy Rock. He is backed up strongly because of the seven races that he has credited against his name as wins with the jockey, A. P. McCoy, after becoming a team at seventeen instances.
Last time that Heron Island’s bay gelding won in partnership with the same jockey was on 12th November, 2011 in the Grade 3 Rewards4racing Handicap Chase at Cheltenham race course over three miles and 3 ½ furlongs.
The Jonjo O’Neill trained defeated Ballyfitz by five lengths.
During the current season, the jockey has accompanied the eight-year-old bay gelding, Galaxy Rock, twice out of the four outings, and has failed at both the instances.
The 3 to 1 entry will race for the first time at Fontwell race course, and will get guided through the good to soft surface with the partner in success jockey, A. P. McCoy.
He will need to look out for the six-year-old bay gelding, Trackmate, who has won twice out of the last three outings. All three were at different race courses.
Muhtarram’s bay gelding landed the Warwickshire Life Magazine Classic Novices’ Handicap Hurdle on 29th July, 2012 at Stratford race course over two miles and three furlongs.
With jockey, Liam Treadwell, riding the six-year-old, was the first one to race through the nine hurdles and defeat Patsy Cline by a length.
Taking care of the third position behind the winner was, Scales.
After a second score, he was prevalent in the #Uttoxetertwitterati Handicap Hurdle on 12th September, 2012 at Uttoxeter race course over three miles.
He set aside the favourite entry of the race, On The Bridge, by five lengths.
The James Evans trained will be paired up with rider, Liam Treadwell.
