Gallantry with explosive chances of nailing the Betdaq Casino Games Handicap
Kempton will stage the Class 6 Betdaq Casino Games Handicap over seven furlongs on Wednesday, 6th June. The fourteen four-year and older contestants for the race are fairly experienced when it comes to racing at Kempton.
The prize money for the winner is £1,617.
The most promising entry today is Gallantry, Green Desert’s ten-year-old bay gelding out of mare, g*y Gallanta. He has been active nine times during the new season and out of those seven of his outings were at Kempton itself but, it was only once that he could capture a race there.
The ten-year-old cracked into the new season on 12th January in the 32Redbet.Com Handicap at Kempton over a mile and four furlongs. His performance in the race was not really impressive as he ended eighth on the track of eleven.
The race was won by the 2/1 favourite Shirataki who was paired up with Chris Catlin and the two led the runner up, Kai Mook, by three lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was Four Steps Back.
The Paul Howling trained improved drastically by the second try of the season as he scored second in the 32Red Handicap on 26th January at Kempton over a mile. The race was won by Rezwaan who led Gallantry by four and a half lengths.
The 9/4 favourite of the race, Storm Runner, ended fourth on the field of twelve.
On 22nd March he qualified as the runner up of the 32Redbet.Com Handicap at Kempton over a mile. Toymaker, the winner, set Gallantry at a disadvantage of two lengths. Coming at terms with the third position was Emerald Royal.
The 7/2 favourite of the race, Yes Mam, managed the fourth position on the field of twelve.
It was through the eighth outing of the season that Gallantry finally pulled a race his way. He won the Olly Murs At Kempton Park 17.08.2012 Handicap on 30th April at Kempton over a mile.
Riding with Tom McLaughlin, he led the runner up of the race, Karate, by just half a length. Catching up with the third slot was Matavia Bay while the 7/2 favourite, Vantaa, ended thirteenth on the track of fourteen.
The ten-year-old has proved himself there once and has all the chances of dictating the terms to today.
