Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas has hailed the signing of Belgian midfielder Moussa Dembele and believes the player will make a huge impact at the club.
The French international believes that the new signing will be a great addition to the Spurs squad, especially considering the impact he made on his debut.
Dembele came on as a second half substitute in last weekend’s game against Norwich City at home. The Belgian, signed just hours before deadline day, is considered a replacement for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857, who left for Real Madrid three weeks ago.
The Belgian playmaker scored the only goal for Tottenham, and was impressive as he made things tick in the midfield. Despite Dembele’s showing, Tottenham failed to secure all three points and conceded a goal late in extra time.
The player will still be hoping to continue his fine start for Tottenham and has already impressed the likes of manager Andre Villas-Boas and teammate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/William-Gallas-c36874.
Tottenham travel to the Madejski Stadium this weekend to face Reading. Both teams are still in search of their first win the league, and will be eager to win all three points.
Speaking ahead of the game, Gallas said:
"For his first game, he came on in the second half and that will be good for his confidence. He helped us a lot. He's a good player, he has a lot of quality, he's still young and it will be good for everyone to play with him."
The French international reflected on Spurs’ previous three games and talked about why they have failed to win three points so far. Tottenham had scored first in both their previous two home games, but failed to hold on to their lead and conceded in the
dying minutes to West Brom and Norwich City.
"We have to work again for the next game, to improve again. We have to fight," he explained.
"In the Premier League now, when you saw how Norwich played and I would say they played well, they were compact, maybe we didn't play quick. So they had time to come back and be ready for the counter-attack. We have to improve on that."
