Gallas expressed his excitement and anticipation at facing his friend and former club and country team mate in the friendly game, that will take place on Wednesday against New York Red Bulls.
The French centre-back graduated alongside Henry from the prestigious Clairefontaine academy in France, and was in the French national squad that won the 2003 Confederations Cup.
The duo is set to re-unite on Wednesday, as Spurs take on New York Red Bulls, Henry’s current club. Both players were in the Arsenal squad before Henry left for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in 2007.
Speaking to the press after Tottenham’s goal-less draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 on Saturday, Gallas said:
“It will be nice to see [Henry] again. I've known him for a long time, since I was 13 years old. He was one of the best strikers in the world and now he's in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 so all I can say is everyone respects what he did in football.”
The Frenchman has had a very good career in the English top flight, but it has been shrouded by controversy, largely due to the player’s off-the-pitch behaviour and comments.

go the other way.
The defender signed a four-year deal with the Gunners and joined his compatriot Henry. He was named Arsenal captain in the 2007/2008 season and had a very good season for the North London club.
Gallas was stripped of the captaincy following some comments where he criticised his Arsenal team mates, questioning their ability and mental strength to compete at the highest level. The Frenchman was succeeded by Cesc Fabregas, and had a very below-par
season for the club in the 2009/2010 campaign.
He joined Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur in 2010 and became the first player to have appeared for Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Speaking about his switch to White Hart Lane and recalling Henry’s reaction, Gallas said:
"You know he was a big star for Arsenal. When I signed for Tottenham, he told me 'commitment, you know' it was very funny.”
