Gallbladder pain....maybe?

Question

I recently visited my doctor after having quite a bit of pain in my right side area, and a bit of nausea and other random symptoms. After some basic questioning and poking of my abdomen, asking where it hurts when she pressed on certain areas etc etc, she told me she believes it was my gallbladder causing me the pain. She ordered an ultrasound and gave me promethazine and zantac, but i wont be able to have the ultrasound for a couple of weeks. i noticed today that I actually have a little pain in the same area on the left side, although nowhere near as intense as the right said. The pain is usually confined to just that one area on my right said, but sometimes radiates anywhere from where my ovaries and such would be to as far back as where my kidneys are. Does this sound like typical gallbladder pain, or does it sound like maybe I was misdiagnosed for something else? I'm going to have the ultrasound done soon, but I was just getting some opinions for the time being. Thanks in advance!

No one can just poke around and tell you the problem, they have to have tests run. She did not misdiagnose you because she doesn't really know until the tests are run. Gall Bladder pain can radiate to your back, chest that feels like a heart attack, bloating and nausea. Stress can bring on such symptoms and so can gas pain. You could have gallstones or an inflamed or infected Gall Bladder. You're not constipated are you? You'll just have to put up with the problem until tests tell you the reason. I wish for you the very best young lady. Hope all goes away and you clear on your own. Also for the time being, don't eat fried foods, chocolate with peanuts, sesame seed buns, but drink plenty of water.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR AGE. IF YOUR YOUNG I WOULD GET A SECOND OPTION! YOU COULD HAVE A BLADDER INFECTION? WHAT COLOR IS YOUR PEE?

Believe me it's not your gallbladder the pain is unbearable.It sounds like your kidney it's self or your ovaries I had my gallbladder taken out when i was 19 3 weeks after I had my daughter. I don't no if you ever had a child if you did and had it without any thing for pain. that is how bad the pain is from gallbladder one sure way to find out if it's your gallbladder eat something with lots of fat like fried liver I no gross but you only need a mouth full because that sent me straight to emergency and that's when I had my gallbladder out. hope this was helpful. P.S. does it feel like something driving you crazy inside along with the pain and you can't lay or sit because to irritating that would be gallbladder pain.
