Question:

Galleries and other attractions during Christmas holidays in Paris?

We (me and my mom) are coming to Paris this Thursday the 27th and staying for three days. I was just wondering about galleries and museums in the city at this time - will they be open? I'm almost sure they will be, but then I remember how French are said to be the people who work the least hours and love holidays, spending time with their families. So I thought that MAYBE.. many places might be closed...? Can anyone tell me who really knows please? Thanks a lot. And merry Christmas!:]

  1. I was there last year from the 27th till January 6.  Pretty much everything was open.  There will be crowds, so expect to stand in long lines to get into museums or other attractions. Even to get into a smaller museum like the Rodin, the line was nearly 45 minutes long!

  2. Everything will be open since those are not holidays. Have fun in Paris and Merry Christmas to you too!

EDIT: If you are staying until Sunday, a lot of stores will be closed that day but tourist attractions (monuments & museums) will be open.
