I'm going to Barcelona in a week, and i doubt i'll be doing much cultural stuff as my mates aren't into that :p

Other than the MACBA and the Picasso Musuem, what other galleries are unmissible? And i've already seen all the Gaudi and i don't feel the need to see it again.

  1. You should see the Picasso Museum (C/ Montcada 15-23).  It has a great collection of his early works (i.e. his famous Blue Period).  There's also a great tapas place across the street called Xampanyet.

The Maritime Museum (Av Drassanes) is also really cool.  A great exhibition of Spain's awesome nautical history.

  2. I also recommend the "Fundacio Joan Miro". Very nice museum  in a really nice location in the park on a high hill overlooking the city.

  3. If you pay the entrance fee for La Pedrera, there is usually a gallery space included in the ticket (1st floor) which often has some cool stuff.

Other than galleries, some hidden gems are Sant Pau del Camp in the Raval - oldest church in Barcelona, and the Palau de la Musica Catalana over in La Ribera.

  4. You should still check in at Sagrada Familia, just to see the progress since the last time you were there.

We liked the Miró museum (near the Olympic village - swimming pools, on Montjuic).  And the Chocolate museum...not exactly art, but really different, and interesting...sculptures in chocolate.  Also, in Figueres, there is a not to be missed museum of Dalí.  TOTALLY cool!

  5. go on the tourist bus saves the legs and feet and you can get on and off as you like the guide will tell you and also point out the night life ?great value for money enjoy and have a great timehttp://www.barcelonagallery.com/eng/
