Galley Droopy looking to shine in Sheffield Stadium Maiden 480 Final
Galley Droopy will be looking to add an important victory to his career, by claiming the Sheffield Stadium Maiden 480 Final in England on Sunday, November 4, 2012. He is a talented greyhound and has the ability to deliver positive results against the best
in the business.
He does not have a lot of experience, thus there is a lot to prove for him at this time in his career. He will be under some pressure today, as his opponents are relatively more experienced in comparison to him.
Despite that, the talented hound has been rated quite highly by the bookmakers and they expect him to be fighting for a victory in the Grade OR contest, which is scheduled to start at 19:13 GMT.
He will have to use a clever strategy in order to shine, as the overall distance to cover will be 480 metres. There is no need to be overly aggressive at the start, as some energy will be required to push hard towards the end.
The T. Paterson’s trainee has not appeared in a lot of competitive events for his team, as he made his debut just a couple of months ago. He started off with a few trial runs, where he proved to be highly competitive. His performances were so strong that
his team was forced to test him in Grade OR contests straight away.
He was priced 4 to 1 during that event and was not expected to fight for a victory. However, he proved his critics wrong and finished first by a comfortable margin of one and a half length.
Despite starting the event from trap number three, the Droopys Scolari’s son got off to a brisk start and gained some early momentum. He was in the lead pretty soon and no one was able to trouble him after that. He will be looking forward to a repeat of
that show once again at Sheffield today.
On the other hand, Gaytime Triggs and Bowtime Jagger are also pretty decent greyhounds and they cannot be taken lightly at all. They will come out with all guns blazing and it will not be a clever idea for their opponents to rule them out of contention completely.
