Galliani believes A.C Milan were lucky to draw the game but hails his team’s defending

Milan drew 2-2 against the Catalans in their first group stage game of this year’s UEFA Champions League at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, September 13 2011. The visitors got off to a flying start as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 provided them with
a lead within 24 seconds into the game. However, the Catalans fought back strongly to make it 2-1 before the hour mark but Thiago Silva planted a neat header in the dying minutes of the game to finish a mouth watering clash at 2-2.
Galliani believes that an away game against Barcelona was always going to be a tough fixture for his side but they showed great character to snatch a point. The chief admitted that Barcelona dominated the game and had 70 percent
of the possession during the game. However, he did not take the credit away from his defenders for putting up a strong fight and hailed the performances of Alessandro Nesta and Silva.
Talking to the reporters Galliani said, “We were very lucky. You could see they had 70 per cent possession, but Barcelona are amazing with the ball at their feet. You just can’t get it off them. The defence did very well, especially

The chief laughed off comments for his unique gestures during the game and admitted that he had to control his emotions because the Barcelona Vice-President was sitting next to him.
