The Rossoneri chief rejects talks of the Brazilian moving to Paris Saint Germain in the summer transfer window, and believes in the striker’s commitment
A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901, is committed to the Italian Champions despite the interest from Paris Saint Germain.
Pato was heavily linked with a move to the Ligue 1 side during the January transfer window, and they even tabled a 25 million Euros bid which was turned down by Milan. The Rossoneri convinced the Brazilian to stay at San Siro.
However, PSG manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is a huge admirer of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Internacional-c39573 striker, and is hoping to test Milan with a renewed bid in summer. Ancelotti recently stated that Pato is a great striker and he will be a big
hit in the French capital.
“Pato? For the future of PSG, we need a striker and Pato is a great striker,”
Galliani has turned down the speculation of a move to PSG, and insists that he does not believe in the media reports. The Rossoneri chief insists that Pato has assured of his commitment to the Italian Champions, and he has made
his decision public. The 67-year-old insisted that he has faced similar situations in the past too, and knows how to handle them.
While talking to the reporters, Galliani said,
"Pato? There have been many false rumours circulating, but he has decided to stay at
Milan, there’s no secret about that and that’s the only truth. Pato called the club and said so, and after many years of experience, I have learned to respect players' decisions.
"Similar situations have occurred for Boban, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Serginho-c33025 and Abbiati. Now the reality is we have a lot of great attacking talent.” Added the Milan Vice-President
Pato has missed a handful of matches due to injury problems in the ongoing campaign, and has managed to make only 15 appearances so far.
Milan were also linked with a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez, but Manchester City rejected their bid to sign the Argentine. The Champions instead signed Maxi Lopez from Catania on the deadline day of the January transfer window.
