The AC Milan vice-president insists amidst complains that it is time to install a hybrid turf at the venue; believes Barcelona are afraid of them.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani believes that AC Milan and Barcelona are equally likeable to feel that they were a little unfortunate to have a tough draw in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Rossoneri boss insisted that the 0-0 stalemate in the first-leg of the
tie was a good result for the Milan outfit, considering the crucial injuries faced by the Diavolo. He insisted that both the teams were equally afraid of their respective opposition, and appreciated the unwavering performance of his team.
While talking to the press, the Casciavit chief said:
“Barcelona started out very tense, as they are afraid of Milan too, I think. We were unlucky in the draw, but Barça could say the same. The team battled, showing determination and grit. I particularly appreciated Luca Antonini’s performance.”
The post-match matters did not go as pleasantly as the match, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 lodging an official complain about the sub-standard condition of the pitch at San Siro. Pep Guardiola went as far as to say that the inadequacies of the pitch were a deliberate
attempt by the Milan management to hinder their style of play.
The roof at San Siro disrupts the flow of air to the turf, barring any grass from growing naturally on the surface. The grass is imported from Holland and continually re-laid week after week at San Siro. Galliani insisted that it is about time to take a
proactive action towards a permanent solution to the problem, by introducing a hybrid turf at the venue. The executive revealed that he has already reached an agreement with the ground authorities, and hopes to get the consent of Inter Milan on the matter
as well.
“We’ve got to change the pitch, installing a hybrid surface with a synthetic base and natural grass on top. We hope to reach an agreement with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567, as we’ve already set this up at the Milanello training ground. At the end of the season, if we agree on
it, then it can be installed in two months. I will work hard to make this new turf happen.” He added.
