Galliani reveals Fabregas’s price forced him out of the move and rules out Kaka swoop
A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, was too expensive option for his team and also rules out swoop for Real Madrid star, Kaka.
Fabregas recently completed a move to his boyhood club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, in a deal believed to in the region of 35-million-pounds. Milan, who are in the market for a new attacking midfielder, were linked with the Spanish international
throughout the summer but Galliani has admitted that he was never a serious option because of the price tag placed on him.
The 67-year-old has admitted that Milan are looking for cheaper alternatives and do not have the financial muscle to compete with top Spanish sides.
Talking to the reporters Galliani said, "He had a very high cost, but this is a problem in general for Italian clubs. We cannot compete with the money they have in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011. Fabregas could not come to us due to revenue.”
On the other hand, the chief also ruled out a return for Brazilian midfielder, Kaka, and believes that his price is too much for their budget.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a last minute summer swoop for the former Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431 star but Galliani admitted that he will wait for it until the deadline day.
"We'll see what will happen. At the moment we are OK like this, even if the transfer window is open until August 31. I would be as happy as Gattuso to see Kaka at Milan again; two years ago when he transfer to Madrid, I was very
moved. But he has a price tag too high for Milan. To come here he would have to cut his pay by much more than what Fabregas had to for Barcelona.”
Kaka joined Madrid from Milan before the start of the 2009/10 season for a hefty price tag in the region of 45-million-pounds. However, the playmaker has never been able to make justice to the price tag and has struggled to make
an impact at the Santiago Bernabeu since then.
