Galliani reveals midfield plans in January transfer window and rules out Tevez swoop: Serie A news
A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has insisted that the club might sign any player during the summer transfer window.
Galliani admitted that his side has been adversely affected by the injury problems and it has taken its toll on their performances thus far. The 67-year-old admitted that he could sign a midfielder in January given the present
fitness problems faced by the club.
Galliani further added that the early start to the season for Italian Super Cup caused the problems for his side.
While talking to the reporters, Galliani said, “Starting the season very early for the Italian Super Cup may well have caused us problems, as we’re now paying the price for that schedule. We cannot forget the numerous injuries.
They are not alibis for our difficult start, but simply facts.”
Manchester City striker, Carlos Tevez, has been linked with a move to Italian Champions of late but Galliani has denied a move for the Argentinean and believes that the club needs no reinforcement in the strike department.
“It is true we could take advantage of the January transfer window to reinforce the midfield. The attack does not need any adjustments, so http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez will not arrive.”
Galliani also dismissed reports of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029’s retirement from the game and admitted that he has spoken to him and he is really happy at the club.
“As for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he is fine and there is no problem. I spoke to him and we cleared the air. He is not tired of football.”
The Vice-President’s words might fuel rumours linking Fiorentina midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049, with the Rossoneri. Montolivo is in the last year of his contract with the Viola club and has been linked with a move to San Siro
since the start of the summer transfer window.
Milan were also linked with a mystery midfield target, named Mr. X by Galliani and it is believed that after failing for him during the summer, they might try their luck in January.
