Galliani rules out January buys and hoping to have Gattuso back soon: Serie A news
A.C Milan Vice-President, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani, has insisted that the Italian Champions will make no signings during the January transfer window.
Milan were heavily linked with a move for Fiorentina midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049, throughout the summer transfer window and after missing out on his signature then, they are rumoured to make an attempt to go for him again in
January.
Montolivo’s contract with the Viola club is set to expire at the end of the 2011/12 season. It is believed that Siniša Mihajlović is prepared to sell his prized star in January rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next
season.
Galliani rejected talks linking the Italian international with a move away from club and insisted that they will make no moves in January. The chief admitted that he is not a huge fan of the January transfer window and he had to
make the transfers last season because of the injury crisis prevalent at that time.
Galliani said, “Montolivo? I don’t believe we will conduct any business during January, no buying or selling. Last year we only made the additions that we did because of the number of injuries that we had sustained. This season
though, once the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Flamini-c24685 have recovered."
Commenting on Gennaro Gattuso’s absence, Galliani admitted that he wants the influential midfielder to return to the first-team line-up very soon. Gattuso has been ruled out for up to six months due to vision problems. The 67-year-old
revealed that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 midfielder is training with the rest of the squad but they will not risk him until he is 100 percent fit.
“We want him to get back to playing football again. The doctors say that the problem can spontaneously resolve itself between two and six months. He’s training so he would therefore be available relatively quickly once his eye
problem is sorted out.”
Milan made a handful of summer signings and most of them have already impressed at the San Siro. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Nocerino-c6332, who was bought from Palermo in the summer transfer window for only 500,000 Euros, has made a huge impact at the
club and scored a hat-trick against Parma recently.
