Galliani is in the transfer market to find a suitable attacking midfielder to replace Andrea Pirlo, who joined Juventus this summer. The vice-president has nicknamed the target as Mister X and has revealed that he has shortlisted
several names.
However, he added that the new player will not be among the player’s mentioned above. The 66-year-old believes that Fabregas is too expensive option for his side and he will not try to sign him. The Italian added that despite the
fact that Barcelona are interested in signing the Spanish international, he is still considers him as an Arsenal player.
“I understand that Fabregas is an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and us for him. His transfer fee is hyperbolic and he’s not one of our objectives.”
Galliani also ruled out a move for Schweinsteiger and added that he is an icon of Bayern and Milan will not make a move for him. For, Kaka, he said that the Italian Champions cannot afford his wage demands, so he will remain at
Real Madrid.
“Schweinsteiger is a flag bearer and he won’t be coming to Milan. As for Kaka, that would be a difficult operation with financial complications.”
The business tycoon refused to rule out a move for Fiorentina midfielder, Montolivo, and said that anything is possible in the transfer window. The Italian international is available for sale in the transfer window, as he has rejected
an extension to his contract with Viola.
“We’ve not pushed for Montolivo, but then anything is possible in the market. It’s one of a lot of operations that are still alive. Enough now though with the Mr X, if he arrives then it will be at the end of the window.”
Milan will start the defence of their Scudetto on August 28th, 2011 against Cagliari.
