Gallipot geared up for third straight success
The way Gallipot performed during the last three months was really hilarious: in fact, it was beyond expectations. Four consecutive podium finishes with two being top spots is a marvellous record that suggests the John Gosden trained bay filly will spare
no chance to complete her hat-trick by winning Thursday’s DFS Park Hill Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies & Mares) at Doncaster racecourse.
Some sport analysts have concerns over the young runner’s unfamiliarity with the purely good surfaces as she has bagged both of her victories over standard to slow course of Kempton, but this is not going to make any difference considering the form she possesses
at the moment.
In pursuit of the ace title, the three-year-old fantastic filly will have to outplay 8 mighty rivals while running over 1 mile, 6 furlongs and 132 yards. This is the longest distance she will cover in her seven-race career.
Debuting in October 2011, the daughter of Galileo out of Spinning Queen struggled badly in first three starts. She showed her class a little by finishing 3rd in the 12-runner event of Race Your Way To poptelecom.co.uk Classified Stakes.
Considering this decent performance, the punters tagged her as the hot favourite candidate for Britaniacrest Recycling Fillies' Handicap (Turf). She ran well again but, unfortunately, stood second on the podium.
The Lady Rothschild owned filly earned the vote of confidence once more and justified it nicely by winning the Back Or Lay At betdaq.com Handicap on August 8. After the lapse of 14 days, she again grabbed a convincing victory in the Scott Mills & Stooshe
Live 07.09.12 Fillies' Handicap.
These two back-to-back triumphs have boosted up Gallipot’s morale to such an extent as she will be able to run and win assertively in today’s marathon. She has again gained considerable odds from the betting market.
Despite all these factors, the filly must not underestimate the talent of Estimate, the Sir Michael Stoute trained bay filly who lifted the glorious title of Queen's Vase (Group 3) during the Royal Ascot festival of June. Overall, she has won two of her
total four starts.
So a rip-roaring clash is just around the corner. Good luck to Gallipot.
