Question:

Gallstone home remedy flush a fake?

I recently had a hospital stay where It was said I had gallstones. I did not have an operation to remove the stones. Later after doing some research, I found a home remedy method of flushing out the stones using Olive oil and lemon juice. I followed the procedure and sure enough, out came little (and some big) green colored stones (waxy looking and some were not real hard). It was amazing to me that these stones were in my gallbladder.....now I am wondering if they really were there....or were the stones actually a product of the Olive oil after passing through my digestive system. I wonder if a repeat of the process would produce stones each time it is done simply because the stones come from the oil that is consumed for this flush. (I saved the stones in a plastic baggy and a day later they mostly dissolved into an oily substance.)

If any doctors or subject knowledgeable person reads this please give me insite as to this process and to the possibilities. Thanks

  1. Yes, the "stones" you passed are actually just a type of soap made from the olive oil.  They are NOT gallstones, which are harder.

The outlet from your gallbladder is the size of a pencil lead.  Do you REALLY think you could pass a large stone through this small opening without any discomfort??  Of course not.

This bogus "flush" has fooled lots of people, you'll probably hear from a few.

  2. There is nothing short of surgery to remove gallstones.  You need to take it very seriously, that you have gallstones!  The sooner you get them out, the better.  It will only get worse and worse, where the attacks are concerned. If you  play around with it, Russian Roulette, you are risking a stone getting trapped somewhere, and causing severe pain, or your gallbladder getting GANGRENE, you will be in serious trouble.  My doctor that I work for, a surgeon, had a patient last week that had gallbladder cancer, and by the time she had her third attack, and had it removed, the cancer had spread throughout her body, and now, she is only expected to live a few months.

Once you have found out you have stones, you need to take the next step and GET YOUR GALLBLADDER REMOVED!!!!!!  It will NOT reverse, and go away!

Very simple surgery, outpatient, go home the same day.  It is done laproscopically.  One 1/2 inch incision at your belly button, where the camera is put in, and where the gallbladder comes out, one 1/4 in. incision at the bottom of the sternum, and two 1/4 incisions on the left side, about midway on your  abdomen.  That's all!  You are back to work, normal in a couple weeks.

  3. I did a cleanse to flush out my gall bladder and I had no idea that many gallstones could fit in my gallbladder. The cleanse I did also had me drink some olive oil, but my cleanse sounds a little different than yours, it worked amazingly well and I haven't had any gallstones since. If you want I could give you the info for the cleanse I did and a few simple tips on how to prevent ever getting gallstones again, but you will have to e-mail me if you want the info, since people are so closed minded on Y.A.

  4. I don't think that there is anything to flush out gall stones.  I had them really bad in the late 80's... the attacks were worse that labor pains.  I finally had my gallbladder removed (the old fashioned surgery).  The only thing is I gained a lot of weight because the liver has to take the place of the gallbladder to break down the bile (fatty foods and stuff) and it does it very slow.  Now they have the new type of surgery and you recover much quicker.  I would research it if I were you.
