Gam Skates?

Question

I've been looking to buy a good pair of intermediate level boots. I really like the Gam Spectra boots. Does anyone have a review of Gam skates, or skate in them?

What other boots do you suggest? Harlicks are to expensive, these Gam's + the blades I would get, cost around $475.

Just today I got fitted for new boots. I really liked my Riedell Silver Stars with the MK Professional Blade. Today I got fitted for custom Klingbiels. The boot was about $700 and for the blade, mounting, and waterproofing, it came up to over $1,000! It just depends on the budget you are on. I have never tried Gams. I was always with Riedell until my recent switch. I suggest asking lots of questions while you are getting fitted to ensure the skate is right for your level and your foot. This way you know that the skate is right. Also ask your coaches for recommondations

I have a pair of used gams and i LOVE them!!! They are wicked comfy. Since my were used they were already broken in which was perfect for me. Hope i helped!!!

Gams are really good.  I've only worn Gams for years now and find them to be the best brand of boots I've tried.  They are heat modable which makes for a really good fit.  $475 is pretty reasonable for boots and blades especially if they are new.
