Gambhir expresses faith in KKR’s potential – Cricket News Update

The Knight Riders got off to a slow start in the current 5th season of the Indian Premier League. Following two consecutive defeats, against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals respectively, Gambhir’s team began to find their form.
After defeating both the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals, the Knight Riders suffered a minor setback in the form of a defeat against the Kings XI, when they lost by a narrow margin of 2 runs. Post-defeat, Gambhir had expressed frustration
with the below-par performances of the more experienced players in the team.
“I've some experienced players and they need to take up responsibility. Otherwise there would be the need to take some strong and drastic decisions,” he had stated.
However, their recent 8-wicket victory against Adam Gilchrist’s men at Mohali marks an immediate comeback, and Gambhir was all praises for his team.
“The way we restricted them was an excellent effort on such a flat wicket,” observed the skipper, who went on to win the Player of the Match award for his unbeaten 66 off 44.
