Gambling Odds Question - UK Gambling?

In the UK, if I put a £5 bet on with the odds at 6/5, is my return £6, or £11? Thanks :)

There seems to be some confusion here so I'll point out that Johnny is right.  Your bet is 5, your profit is 6, and since you didn't lose you get the original fiver back.  So it's profit of 6 or loss of 5.

The odds are placed like this (payoff/bet) so if you see an odds that says 12/7 that measn for every 7 you bet you get 12 back (regardless of pounds, dollars, euros)

Your return is £11, your £5 gets you £6 plus your stake back £5
