  1. It's wrong if you find yourself grambling every week to be rich. It becomes an addiction. It's okay if you gamble once in a while for fun.

  2. no way.  gambling is a hobby for some people such as my boyfriend.  the only difference is he has a chance for some money in return.  and poker is fun for just about anyone.  you can play with as little or much money as you want.  there's nothing wrong with gambling if you have the money and it doesn't set you back financially.  i for one am not a big gambler because i don't have a ton of extra money but i will go to the casino with my boyfriend and take $40 and play penny slots for hours while he plays cards!!  if i win that's great, if i don't, i basically spent the same amount of money as i would going to the movies with the same amount of entertainment.

  3. No. I don't agree. If you have the means, and you enjoy it, than do it, as long as you are not hurting anyone or betting the house or the house note.  Everything in moderation.

  4. when u drive to work u gamble ur life (car accident) but the odds of dying r small (1 in a million) yet u do it anyway just to make some money.

  5. not if you are winning

  6. First of all let me say that i work at a casino in las Vegas as a poker dealer so my view may be a bit slanted, but i can say that if people quit coming here i would have to find another way to pay for my bills. Also i can say that 98% of the people who come to vegas to gamble only spend what they can afford and what they know they are going to lose to start with. That 2% does need help, but noone puts a gun to anyones head and makes them bet money they don't have.

  7. I think gambling can be fun but you dont want to go over board i say take 100$ worth of quarters and play the slots, play for three hours then leave with what you have but never over do it! becaus gambling can be addictive but it can also be fun if you know your limit.

  8. Absolutely not,  It certainly can be wrong but it is definately not always wrong.

    For instance

-People who are unefected financially by losing the amount of money they play with could choose to do so for the shear fun of playing a game, making it a form of entetainment, at cost to the player.

-Professional gamblers can turn the tables on the casinos so when they "gamble" if you even really call it gambling, it is in their better interest to do so since they are expecting to win money making it "right"

But i will say there is a lot of evil hovering about it

  9. Ahh, no.  I do think it is wrong for you push your personal beliefs on others.

  10. Gambling is entertainment. You're paying to have fun. It's no different than going to an arcade or concert, or anything else you must pay to do. Do you think it's "wrong" to play video games? Do you think it's "wrong" to watch Pat Boone in concert (I'm sure he's one of your favorites)?

  11. No. It's entertainment when played correctly and with a level head. One always needs to remember, when to say when, or when to fold the good fold.

  12. I disagree!

It is a fun hobby and a great way to spend some time. Plus you can make some good money at it.

Gambling makes life more fun!! Give it a try.

  13. I believe that gambling on certain games are fine, but gambling on casino games is wrong.

On casino games (such as blackjack, craps, roulette, etc.), even if you think you might get lucky, in the long run the casino is always a favorite to win against the players, which is how it stays in business. (It's statistically proven that the casino has odds to win in casino games).

However, when you're gambling on games where skill is involved, such as poker against other people, or games where you have some outside knowledge (such as sports games), then gambling is fine in these scenarios.

Just make sure to keep yourself in check and know where your limits are in how much you can bet, and stick to these limits! (Not every gambler is a problem gambler!)

If you are gambling, good luck!

  14. Vegas Matt threw the "Pat Boone" card down! Oh no he didn't!  I don't think random people online are a good source for your morality questions.  That being said, everything in life is a gamble.  You take a guess on an action to get a positive outcome from that action.  Some people gamble to cross an interstate and frequently don't make it.  You take a gamble on the person you marry.  Spending some disposable income in a casino can be tons of fun if you set limits like others have already said.  Bingo is a very fun form of gambling which is something being offered in more and more casinos, by the way.  Gambling is wrong when you either don't know how to play or don't have the money to play.  Now, get out to a casino, order a Bloody Mary, and make us all proud!  ;-)  Best of luck to ya.

  15. Everything in moderation, if you can afford to gamble without hurting yourself or anyone else then it is ok.
