Game 5 red wings vs stars?

dallas wins. game 6 in dallas.

i missed 1st period, and some of the 2nd. i was watching finland vs sweden.

anyways can you tell me who were the best players/lines for both teams, and try to explain why detroit lost.

also do you think detroit has a good chance to win on monday and keep this series from a game 7 scenario.

This was a strange game.  Dallas looked good early, but it was tied 1-1 after one.  The second goal resulted from a strange bounce off a Turco pass to center.  After it was 2-1, I think Detroit dominated the rest of the game (except a couple shifts by the Morrow line in the 3rd).

The thing I could not understand is Dallas not getting called for a single penalty after killing off Norstrom's penalty very early in the 2nd period.  Draper got away with the crosscheck on Morrow's face which was an obvious penalty, but Dallas got away with everything after the Norstrom call.  I got tired of watching Stars taking down Wings between the circles without the puck, while not having to even worry about getting called for interference or holding.  Wings were given three penalties after the Norstrom call.

The key to beating Dallas is getting an early lead.  All the Stars do is sit on it if they get it.  Detroit needs to jump all over Dallas early in the next game, and they need Franzen back as the second line is dead in 5 on 5 situations.  Dallas just needs to keep doing what they are doing.  Score the first goal, and if you don't the ref will waive off Detroit's goal and make it all better.  Dallas can just keep pulling down players and interfering because the chances are high that they will get away with it, and even better now that they are playing at home.

Wings will win it on Monday.

This is just typical red wings choking. Dallas actually has a good opprotunity to come back and win now. Detroit was absoutely pathetic the past 2 games. If they want ANY HOPE of winning the series against dallas, they need to cut their typical detroit bullcrap and actually play. Im a wings fan, but i will admit detroit just might lose this series now....

Seemed like the wings were slopy today, lots of turnovers.  If both teams play like today, there will be a game 7.  If the Wings play like they did the previous 9 games, it is over on Monday.

sure Petersen, Lunqvist, and Eriksson was dallas's best line.  Best player Turco, for Detroit Hudler was the best player.  Well Turco played phenomenally, Holmstrom took a bad penalty late.  He attacked Ott from the bench.  Ott taunted him and Holmstrom ended up getting 2 for roughing.  Dallas played stifling defense at the end.  Yeah it could go seven.

Yes, they did win. They come home to dallas this monday. Let's hope that Dallas wins again, because I am sick and freakin tired of watching dallas teams lose over and over and over again. Haha. GO STARS! I will be screaming my lungs out until I go to bed, for about an hour and a half. Haha.

The Wings had problems with puck possession today. The Stars did a good job of clogging up the lanes and not letting Detroit get any good scoring chances. No one on the Wings played exceptionally well.

I think game 6 depends a lot on whether Franzen is cleared to play or not. He seems to be a big presence on the ice, even if he isn't scoring.
