Game Day!! WHAT TO EAT?

I Play Volleyball and Im a starter we have a big match next week. What should I eat that would be healthy. Please give me some ideas! I also take my lunch to school to so HELP!

  1. granolo bars and fruit i eat those all the time before big games  


  2. chicken or red meat... [I prefer chicken]

    -whole weat bread [Not white]

    -orange/apple juice

    -rice or pasta [spaghetti gives you tons of carbs--energy to burn]

    Dont eat anything that is full of sugar though. They break down too fast and cause you to lack energy.

    Also avoid energy drinks, those are high in sugar. Water is the best way to go.

    Dont eat so much that you will be very full... Eat a moderate amount because from experience I find it easier to jump higher and move faster if my stomach isnt full of food.


  3. Eat carbs (pasta) like spaghetti, baked ziti, etc. Eat bread, fruit, and veggies. Drink milk!

  4. On game days i always eat mini wheats for breakfast and for lunch i eat a ham sandwich, pineapple, and water. Then our team always has some kind of pasta and fruit before the game.

    pasta and banana ( be sure to eat those 1hr also before the game)

    while in game you can eat chocolate (Energy) and water only...

    drinking sports drink is also 1hr after the game
