Game on Dude headed to the Hollywood Gold Cup with the hope of making it to the Breeders’ Cup Classic
The Kentucky bred, Game On Dude, will aim for total domination in the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup, held on 7th July, 2012, at the Betfair Hollywood Park.
Owned by in partnership of the Joe Torre’s Diamond Pride LLC, Lanni Family Trust, Ernie Moody’s Mercedes Stable LLC and Bernie Schiappa, the five-year-old gelding will race as the favourite with the highest weights of 124 pounds.
This year the Bob Baffert trained runner will bring everything he has to the track with the hope of acing the Hollywood Gold Cup.

Since, last year he was nearly there agonisingly nosed out by his stable-mate, First Dude on 9th July, 2011.
It can be said that the son of Awesome Again has improved a great deal, since last season as he landed a massive victory in the Grade 2 Californian Stakes without much effort.
Paired with his usual jockey, Chantal Sutherland, he completed the 1 1/8 mile track swiftly in 1 minute and 48.01 seconds, where he defeated the Joel Rosario trained, Kettle Corn, while the third place was secured by, Prayer For Relief.
Foaled by mare Worldly Pleasure, the runner has proved himself time and time again. He recovered well from the performance he delivered at Meydan in the Group 1 Dubai World Cup, where he finished 12th on the Tapeta track that
covered a distance of 1 ¼ miles.
The gelding will not have an easy run considering he is up against some tough runners. The line-up includes the John W. Sadler trained Kettle Corn, who will be looking for revenge on Game On Dude in this race.
Game On Dude will also face off with his stable-mate, Richard’s Kid, who is entering with weights of 120.
Provided the runner triumphs in this race, he will be eligible for an entry in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic which will be hosted at Santa Anita on 3rd
November, 2011, since this race is the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In’’ race.
The winner will earn an automatic spot in the mega-event without any entrance fee along with $10,000 travel allowance.
