Game On Dude set to prevail in the Hollywood Gold Cup at Betfair Hollywood Park
Game On Dude is attracting serious attention for the 73rd running of the Grade 1, $500,000 Hollywood Gold Cup, which is due to take place at Betfair Hollywood Park on 7th
July, 2012, over a distance of 1 ¼ miles.
Trained by Bob Baffert for owners, Bernard C. Schiappa and Diamond Pride LLC, the five-year-old has an incredible amount of talent, and skill that materialises fully on the track.
The son of Awesome Again landed an incredible victory in the Grade 2 Californian Stakes on 2nd June, 2012, where he briskly covered the distance of 1 1/8 miles under his regular rider, Chantal Sutherland.

Game on Dude managed to defeat the J. Sadler trained, Kettle Corn, as the third place went to the winner’s stable mate, Prayer for Relief, who was under the command of rider, Rafael Bejarano.
Chantal Sutherland was ecstatic the way Game on Dude ran in the race, as she stated to the press:
"He relaxed sweet and then he just took off," she further added "It was like he was on autopilot, really. He made me look like a champion. It's so much fun to ride a horse like that, I can't tell you. It's just like unbelievable, the power and so much
endurance."
Foaled by mare Worldly Pleasure, the runner tried his luck in the Hollywood Gold Cup last year, but he lost the victory to his stable-mate, First Dude.
Since this is a Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In’’ race, Game On Dude will try his best to notch victory as it will guarantee him a spot in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will be held at Santa Anita Park on 3rd November,
2012.
The Bob Baffert trained, Prayer For Relief, has also an entry in the Hollywood Gold Cup, and he too has demonstrated time and time again that he is capable of solid performances, since he claimed placed finishes in his last two starts.
On 5th May, 2012, the son of Kentucky, foaled by mare G. R. Aschinger, finished second to, Morning Line, in the Grade 2 Mervyn Leroy Stakes, which covered a distance of 1 1/16 miles.
