Is it possible to trade gameboy advanced ruby, saphire, leaf green, fire red to game boy color Gold version

  1. No. You cannot trade from either the first or second generation Pokemon games to the third or fourth. The way the IV points are distrubuted are completely different, so the games are not compatible, This has to do with pokemon and their stats.

    So, if you want any of the Jhoto pokemon, you'll have to hunt them down in fire red/ leaf green.


  2. no, my son doesn't think so. because Ruby and Sapphire are a newer generation of Pokemon.  But you may be able to trade leaf green because it's the same generation.

  4. No, because the game boy color games are different to game boy advance games. POkemon gold version was made before the hoenn regeion and the kanto region in fire red and leafgreen is remade. so even the national pokedex in gold version (or actually the game) doesn't have any data about the pokemon. if you forced it to trade, the game might crash. Do not break your pokemon gold, you can't buy it anymore and it is very valueable, because johto starters are very,very,very hard to get.
