Game looks fuzzy whats the problem?

I noticed that the game regularly I play looks really fuzzy when I start moving. Its kinda like a checkered effect, with straight lines I can see each pixel and they are not straight anymore. I think this happened when I got my most recent computer. I noticed that something was a little wrong at first when I was playing the game. It did look a little more blurry to me but I was too excited because I got a new computer and didnt wanna return it. But now, after a year or two, my eyes has gotten worst so I turned the resolution lower so everything will look bigger. Now I notice the fuzziness a lot because I can see almost every dot!!

So basically this problem was happening even when my computer was new, I just didnt notice it much. Something wrong with the graphics card or another part of the computer? Please suggest things that can help me fix this.

Install the latest video drivers.

its the resolution, the more resolution the lesser the blurry it will be, the checkered effect are actually pixels, you will notice them more if you lower down the resolution.

the screen is actually made up of pixels. like for example 1280 x 960 resolution means that 1280 pixels horizontally and 960 pixels vertically.

if its still blurry even you already increase the resolution

look under the options and video and look for the emulation

try changing the 'Hardware' to 'Software' or look for OpenGL. that may also fix the problem
