Meydan on 31 March, 2012.
The Kentucky bred, Game on Dude, hasn’t left for Dubai yet, but he is working hard for a good show at Meydan on the Dubai World Cup night, and Bob Baffert is upbeat by his recent work, when he drilled in a seven furlong bullet at Santa Anita on 16 March,
2012.
“He looks great; he looks healthy and ready,” Baffert said of Game On Dude. “I’m really happy with the way he is coming in to the (World Cup).”
Out of mare Worldly Pleasure by Devil His Due, Game on Dude clocked seven furlongs in 1 minute and 25 seconds flat. The gelding was not alone, as he worked in company with stable mate Midnight Crooner, and zipped on the Santa Anita track to post a bullet
work.
Trainer Bob Baffert has another horse lined up to get on the plane for Dubai, and the brilliant speedster, The Factor is pointed toward the Group 1, $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen, and according to his trainer, The Factor is training like anything.
He turned in five furlongs in 1 minute and 1 second. “He’s just got to go over there and lay down one of his races,” Baffert said.
The Factor being a sprinter will go to Dubai for the race’s purse sake, because there aren’t any rich races for sprinter’s in the U.S.
