Gameboy button broken? how to fix?

On my gameboy my "L" button is broken for no reason. Maybe it was that my brother droped it but I don't know does anyone know how to fix this? anyone?

There are shops that fix handheld devices. However, if you have games in which the "l" button is required, it might be more practical to buy a new gameboy, or upgrade to a Nintendo DS, as the shops are usually expensive and take weeks to fix it.
