  1. A very simple one is called "Eperviers, sortez" (get out sparrowhawks)

Kids form a line along one end of the room with their backs against the wall.

In front of them, one kid is the hunter.

He says "1,2,3, éperviers sortez". All the kids must run to the other end of the room and the hunter tries to get them by putting one hand on them. When a sparrowhawk is caught, he becomes a hunter and gets to the middle of the room. All hunters must form a line by taking each others' hands, i.e only the kids at each end of the line can get the sparrowhawks.

The last free sparrowhawk is the winner.

An other is very useful to learn numbers. it's called "bérêt".

Form two lines of kids face to face (one line far enough from the other). in the first line, give each kid a number (the other team should not hear who gets each number). Do the same with the other team (use the same numbers)

Put an object on the floor (for example, a handkerchief with a knot)  between the two lines (in front of the kids). Call one number. The two kids who have this number must run and get the handkerchief first to win. You count points for each team.

You can also call "salade" from time to time, which means that all the kids must run and get the handkerchief, whatever number they have.

The team which first reaches x*x points wins.

(for small kids who don't know numbers, you can give each one a color, or the name of an animal for example)

  2. popcorn (the game not the food) is fun for a large setting
