Games keep shutting down my computer?

A few months ago, about 5 i bought a game that wouldn't play on my computer so my mom paid a guy to install more RAM and the game still didn't play. I had to just settle for the games i had, but now all of a sudden they keep forcing the computer to restart. At first it was just the sims 2, it crashed so much that as soon as i put the game in it crashed. Then it started happening with my other games, but there not just crashing they are shutting down the computer and restarting it. I had deleted as many things as i could and cleared up memory but the games still crash. I remember there was a time when i could put all my games on the computer and play with no crashing. So what could be wrong, i think it was something the guy did but im not sure.

  1. Hi i am also receiving this problem before when i first got my computer i could play tones of games now my computer maks a beeping noise then shuts down after i play for a while on the same games! these games i could of played a year back easy. I am not 100% sure but i do believe that it is because the computer is overheating i am trying to find out more. I would try and buy some compressed air and use it on your fans even if it doesnt work it cant hurt = ] ill try it soon gl and hope all goes well.

  3. its possible that you may need to reinstall your AGP driver after uninstalling it first and try installing directX 9 again.hope this will solve your problem.

probably your new game that you could not run/play did change some files/system files or so.i am not sure but you may need to reinstall your Operating system .but try what i said first.

  4. Well your RAM is obviously gone because of all the space these games take up.

Try only having one or two games on your computer.. this should help tremendously.
