Question:

Games made on paper?

Does anyone know of any games made with just a pen and paper for 1 player? I was wanting some games to play since I will be going back in the hospital and stuck in the bed doing nothing. It's been too long to remember any from when I was in school. Not real picky if it is a kiddie game or more advanced one. Just need to know how to make it, write it, etc. using only paper, pen, and/or markers. Thanks!

  1. or  get a word search puzzle book.

you could make up cross word puzzles...its easier if you bring graph paper. You could try to use the medical terms you learn and the names of the nurses.....

oh, I used to love to make thousands of triangles on half a page and color them to use as a bookmark.

  2. If you're not into word games, you could get some logic problems. You can buy books or you can also print them off from the internet. This is an example - http://www.puzzles.com/Projects/LogicPro...

Also you can get sudoko or kakuro (a different type of number addition game) from the net too

  3. Dell publishes many puzzle books that don't contain crossword puzzles. They should be available in quantity at your supermarket or newsstand. Also Pantheon Books published an excellent compendium of games called Beyond Solitaire by Sid Sackson. The date on the book is 1976 so it might be a struggle to find. Try www.bookfinder.com. If you still can't find it contact me privately and I can photocopy pages of the book and send them to you.

  4. If you have a couple of days before you need to go to the hospital, try having your local librarian find a book for you on the topic.

  5. ooh get urself a suduko book they re relatively cheap, if not, crosswords?
