  1. You could do lots of things like singing and fingerplays, such as wheels on the bus, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, itsy bitsy spider. You can also play together with a ball (roll it back and forth to each other). Children that age love to play with large blocks and legos. Musical instruments are also great for children that age. You could just use pots and pans for them to bang on. Children learn from playing and you really should encourage it!

  2. u could try fun games like hide and go seek, tell her tv bad

  3. try some of the large wooden puzzles, books (my 17 month old loves brown bear, brown bear and any books with photos of babies), songs that have fingerplay (if you're happy and you know it....you can change the verses to "beep your nose", "rub your belly", "wave your hands", stick out your tongue" etc.  this will help with following directions and identifying body parts....

  4. pattie   cake   sing  songs

  7. Let her watch dora the explorer =)

  8. I have alot of baby cousins, and i think that Peek-a-Boo is a game to make her smile! If that doesn't work, try saying her name or your name out loud to her.
