Do you remeber when you were a small kid, elders used to play some games with you. The same games you may play with the kids now. Different cultures and societies have number of games which are played with young kids........ try some or any of those. But remember the games that entice one year old child, may not attract the attention of Eight year old child. So you have to select carefully according to age group. Some games are gender specific, like boys dont play Dolls, and girls do not wrestling.

Play word games like they have to find a  name of an animal begining with every letter of the alphabet. Childrens Bingo. Hode and Seek. Muscal Bumps/Statues. Dancing Competitions.Bring me something blue/red/green.

There are lots of games and most of them you don't need to buy or pay anything :)

Musical Hat!

I don't know whether anyone has heard of it before, but this young spanish guy randomly made it up when i was on holiday, and it was quite funny (;

You need a cowboy hat (or another amusing hat) and music.

What to do:

The kids get into a circle, and one starts with the hat on their head, spins around twice, then passes it to the next person, who does the same thing. You stop the music whenever you wish (like musical

chairs) and whoever has the hat at that point is out of the game.

I am a 13 year old girl and even i found it fun (;
