Gaming pc from scratch help?

I'm planning on making a gaming pc from scratch. I wanted to know if anyone could help me with the types of products that i should buy. Things like processors, video cards, etc. The computer is a Panasonic laptop (model no. CF- 51) with an intel centrino processor. I'd also like to know if its even worth working with this pc.

get a new one, laptop parts are expensive, but search pc world for pc building , they have  astep by step guide, or some libraries have books, but get a new laptop, ull be happier, centrino no offense is not good, because of intel's crappy wifi card

buy some old and maybe broken pc/laptops. you will get broken ones cheap so when you buy a broken one remove the part that you need like prossesar then throw the rest away.
