Gan On Rebel set the track ablaze by winning the Grade A1 480m race at Wimbledon
The white and black dog, Gan On Rebel, grabbed top position in a Grade A1 race of 480m category at Wimbledon, on 13 January, 2012.
The victor contested against Chicago Jane, Taranis Vieri, Tai, Catfordtoteboard and Vesuvio, who got scratched right before the race.
Gan On Rebel broke from trap 6, and he started well along with his opponent, Chicago Jane. Both the hounds ran almost parallel throughout the race.
It was a nail-biting situation for the spectators and the bookies, who had declared Gan On Rebel as the most favourite, with a starting price of 4 to 5.
The neck-to-neck clash between Gan on Rebel and Chicago Jane filled immense thrill and sensation in the race. Just a step away from the boundary line, the two were side by side.
However, luckily, Gan on Rebel found second wing and finished just 0.1 seconds before the other.
The son of Priceless Rebel earned this position for the third time consecutively. He commenced his career in June 2009, at the same venue.
Whelped in January 2008, he is trained by N Mcellistrim, who was delighted at the excellent winning streak of his trainee.
On the basis of his pleasant past record and fantastic skills, the dog is supposed to win the upcoming events in the same way.
Chicago Jane, a black b***h trained by P R Garland, failed to obtain top spot, courtesy of a slight difference.
However, she demonstrated an outstanding run from beginning to end, after breaking from trap number 4.
It was for the 7th time that the daughter of Scintillas Lisa ended up with this rank in 480m category since her debut race in August 2010.
The third top position went to Taranis Vieri who, after breaking from trap 3, reached the finish line in 29.77 seconds, trailing by 2 ¼ lengths.
The black b***h is trained by B Doyle, and was whelped in August 2009. In last night’s race, the daughter of Blackstone Kate demonstrated a smooth run.
At the end of the race, Gan On Rebel earned the 1st prize worth £104, while each of the other five racers bagged £24. Overall, it was an amazing and interesting race.
