Gang Violence?

Question

I need to find a few points on how gang violence affects victims and how it affects the people doing the negative action, can anyone throw a few points out there for me?

Gangs are just like terrorists.

They operate in groups.  They threaten the safety of others.  They harm innocent victims.  They recruit others with images of becoming rich with little effort.

The "points" are this, the victim winds up dead and the perpetrator ends up in prison.

the gang member is going to end up in some kind of criminal trouble and the victim is going to end up hurt or dead in a lot of cases it all just depends. i think that gang violence is absolutely ridiculous

I don't believe that the members doing the harm want to do it. The original reason they joined the gang was probably because they were abandoned, mistreated, and depressed. From a teenagers perspective, a gang is a family to fall back on. It makes them feel socially accepted to their peers as well. In order to maintain the feeling of belonging, they will do whatever it takes, including murder and robbery. Their perspective of the world is so distorted by their emotions that they don't realize what they're doing just to "belong" to a few people. It finally hits them after they've done something awful.

people shouldn't be racist against black people in the first place because they have self-control just like anyone else. Even though they are the highest rate of etnicity in that field. It affects its victims because that's mostly there main target.

You may be interested to know that in certain America cities gang members who deal on the streets etc, earn exactly the same pay, for the hours they work, as they would flipping burgers in Mac Donald's. They statistically have less chance of meaningful promotion/surviving and so less chance of earning middle management salaries. It should also be noted that at least Mac Donald's offer life insurance. The management structures studied almost duplicated those of many franchises in the business world. So not quite as anti- establishment as you may have been led to believe.

we should all be viewed as equals, and it saddens me deeply to see that we have not yet achieved peace and understanding in this world.
