The former Indian captain, Dilip Vengsarkar, on Thursday lavished praise on his former teammate Sourav Ganguly describing him as one of the finest captains ever produced by the Indian setup.

"He (Ganguly) is still committed and playing with a lot of passion,” said Vengsarkar reminiscing about his last trip to Australia in 1991-92.

The former BCCI selection committee chairman lavished praise on Sourav Ganguly while receiving the award at a glittering ceremony at the Town Hall on Thursday, where he was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the Indian
cricket, both as player as well as in his managerial role with BCCI and Mumbai Cricket Association.
The former Mumbai Cricket Association Vice President is also running three personal cricket academies, two in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 and one in Pune, where free of cost training is given to talented players, selected on their skill level.

The 56-year-old former India cricketer hailing from Maharashtra hoped Ganguly will do well in Warriors’ match against his former IPL side Kolkata Knight Riders, when the two outfits clash in a marquee IPL V match in Kolkata, on May 5.
