Agent of Brazilian youngster Ganso has claimed that his client could sign for FC Porto but the Portuguese club would have to negotiate with Santos first.
Selecao star Ganso is the latest player off Santos’ assembly line. The Brazilian outfit has a history of churning out top talents and the 22-year-old is arguably one of the best they have ever produced.
Although http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 these days, Ganso is not far behind his International teammate and has been pivotal for the Santástico this season.
He helped the club secure a berth in the FIFA Club World Cup but was outclassed in the final by a rampant http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 side. However the starlet’s abilities remain undoubted and he is touted to have a very bright future in the game.
The former Tuna Luso man scored 5 times last season and was credited 2 assists as well. Although not his best statistics to date, he has still managed to catch the eye of several top European clubs.
AC Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring his progress and are keen on securing the services of the future star. Harry Redknapp has already made a €15 million offer for the midfielder but it remains to be seen whether it is accepted or not.
FC Porto have also registered an interest in the player and made an undisclosed proposal to Santos. However the Fish have rebuffed the deal and claimed that it was far below their evaluation of their prized asset.
While it was rumoured that the Primeira Liga side were out of the race to sign Ganso, his agent has again lit the media fire, after revealing that his client could be on his way to Estadio do Dragao if a compromise with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c40446 can be reached.
Speaking to reporters, he said that what Alvinegro Praiano President Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-c5280 Ribeiro said about Porto’s reported deal was a bit exaggerated and revealed that the company holding the majority of the player’s rights was satisfied by the proposal.
"What he (Ribeiro) said was an overstatement. We are talking about a negotiation which is not over yet. In fact, it has just begun. Porto's offer must have not been that low if DIS, the company which holds 55 per cent of his economic rights, was satisfied.”
He also that while he was not sure of the exact figure, he was certain that the Portistas must have made a proposal worthy of Ganso’s talents but in order for a transfer to materialize, the Dragons must negotiate with their Brazilian counterparts.
"I do not know the figure in question, but I am sure the offer is neither tragic, nor comical. The clubs must come to an understanding first. Between Porto and Ganso it would be easy to reach an agreement. It is time for him to leave,” http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diogo-c11329 Kotscho was quoted as saying.
If what Ganso’s agent says is true, then http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 will perhaps pull of one of the biggest transfers in their history if they sign the attacking midfielder and beat the cream of Europe to it.
