While talking to the media a few weeks back, Santos president, Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-Henrique-Ganso-c29449 had a meeting with the club’s official in which he asked wages that were way too high for Brazilian football. The Santos supremo then revealed that after the club declined Ganso’s request, the player asked to leave the club.
“Ganso returned to us with a proposal that’s unthinkable for Brazilian standards and I did not accept it. So he said he wanted to leave. With what he asked, I could recruit, two Argentine and Uruguayan alternates.”
The president then went on to say that a player’s wish is always predominant so it’s of no use to keep a player who is not happy.
Now, TV Cultura claims that the strongman of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 has now opened the door for Ganso to leave the club after requests for a big-money contract extension were deemed way too high by the club’s management.
Along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Moura-c26908, Ganso is considered as one of the greatest hopes of Brazilian football. And, due to this reason, the 22-year-old did not really have to wait that much for a proposal to come from a Paulista side.
Now, Santos have revealed that they have refused the first official offer for Ganso from rivals Sao Paulo. Reports claim that Sao Paulo offered 4.4 million euros for the player. However, the refusal of the club has not diminished Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431’s hopes of signing the talented midfielder.
Reports claim that Sao Paulo have now agreed to pay 9 million euros to buy 45% of the right of the player. A verbal agreement has already been made between the two parties.
“We are confident that the negotiations have progressed well, but we need to put it all on paper before making it official. Discussions are good, it should be concluded early next week,” said the Sao Paulo vice-president meaning that Ganso is on the verge of getting exactly what he has been wanting for quite some time.
