Question:

Gap year in either Australia or South America - where do i start?

i'm in year 12, currently doing my AS exams and i'm considering a gap year in 2 years time. I'm thinking Australia cause i've heard good things, but also South America so i can learn some more spanish (i'm taking it at A level). The thing is, i have no idea where to start with the planning!

any ideas?

  1. Hello. I live in Australia and have studied in Australia. Best to start contacting your local Australian embassy in your country and ask for contacts/ideas. Next seach the web for "australian universities". I definitely know that our ex Foreign Minister was really pushing for more overseas students to come to Australia. Top schools here are University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of NSW, Australian National University...really depend on which state you want to study in...if your a bit technical, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology is great....the only downside to Australian Universities I think is that some of they are project work based...unlike American universities you just memorise and do multiple choice tests etc...but it should be a great experience....hands down!
