  1. how long will you be here, what is your budget?

well no response, so i am assuming you have wealthy parents. i am assuming you will purchase a cheap disposable used car, to be sold when you leave.

i would start on the east coast. flying into boston. i would tour all the revolutionary war sites. a drive into vermont, maine.

down to new york city (yuck). see a play. I hate new york.

on to philadelphia, see the liberty bell.

then to washington DC. a week there, at least.

down the east coast to virginia, monticello, appalachian mountains.  colonial williamsburg, yorktown, jamestown

north and south carolina, lots of antique homes,

georgia  stone mountain, atlanta, margaret mitchell house, savannah, dahlonega,

florida orlando, disneyworld, miami, key west

so that would be a tour of the east coast. i would get detailed maps and highlight specific things that you want to see.

then i would take my disposable 1000 dollar car and head west on I-10. stop in new orleans rest there couple of days.

there are a lot of antebellum plantations to see in mississippi , louisiana, and alabama, need a good map.

    tabasco factory, casinos.

stop in houston. NASA, galleria, galveston,  there is not much here, yucky city that i live in.

make your way to north to dallas. see the grassy knoll, and see the tour of the school book depository. bring kleenex.

through oklahoma to colorado and the rocky mountains,  I-70 and I -80  sigh, such magnificence.

    towards Utah.

utah loop : provo, byu, salt lake city (plan an entire day for temple square), park city, skiing, go north to logan, get on road 89 for the star valley,  do not do this leg of the trip in snow. grand tetons, yellowstone national park, head south for bryce, zion, national parks, end up in st george utah where the polygamists live

grand canyon, las vegas, palm springs

Los angeles, santa monica pier, hollywood (full of hookers) beverly hills, lots to see and do.

    san diego zoo/seaworld/tijuana

now, get on 101 and go north

santa barbara, santa cruz, a stunning drive on the pacific ocean. stop wherever you like. gilroy, monterrey, aquarium,

san francisco, must see muir woods

seatlle is interesting, but i would rather you drove east down to tahoe,  yosemite and sequoia national parks. eat olives in lindsay.

thorugh california agricultural land, back to los angeles, and fly home. i would take a side trip to mexico city here.
