My car was due back yesterday, then they promised they would get i tready by lunchtime at he latest. I booked my afternoon off to pick it up, called them to check what time to come, they said next week now (although they've got everything they need). Unless I hire a car I have to cancel my holiday. I've told them I will have to hire a car but they won't take responsibility.

It's an insurance garage, as my window was broken and needed replacing. They've had it longer than they said.

what can I do?

  1. its just a broken window??? go get the car back, DONOT cancel the holiday and take it to another garage..... they will fix that in no time

  2. Report the garage to your ins coy., then take your car to another garage . If your ins coy won't pay for the repair change to another company.

  3. phone the Manager, tell them that you had booked the holiday with the information that the car would be ready. It has been delayed not due to your fault. If the manager is reasonable they will either make sure that the car is ready or provide a repalcement car.

Otherwise you will need to hire a car and sue them throught the small claims court on line for the cost of the hire

  4. call your insurance company and let them know,

maybe they will pay for a hired (rented car)

or ask a friend or family member if you could borrow their  car.

OR, Ask the garage if they have a car you can use.!!!!!

  5. Try to have as much information as you could perhaps is one of the options, however it is labor consuming, here is the place i have ever had good experience with.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...
