I'm selling t-shirts, belts, capris, jewelery, books, etc..

they are in great condition too & most have never been used or worn once..

How much should I charge?

Also, does anyone have any tips for a successful garage sale?

  1. little items like jewelery and paperback books should be no more than a dollar. post as many signs as possible around the neighborhood the morning of the sale

  2. It doesn't matter what price you put on them, buyers will always want to buy them for half that.

Also, you'll sell all of your best stuff in the first hour.  People will be coming around before you even open, and want a preview.  These are professional buyers. looking for valuable things like antiques, that you have drastically underpriced, be careful with them.

  3. Garage sale is great to clean up your house. Clutter...clutter...clutter.

Plan on what to do like gather all the stuff you want to get rid.

Organize by putting in a box all same items.

Make readable signage around the area including your house number and date of garage sale.

Make a price tag for all your items. Dollar or less would be great for garage sale buyers. It's still your call on what tag price you want. People usually ask for a lower price then it's up to you to decide.

    Happy selling!

  4. The idea is to get rid of the things that are cluttering up your life.  See cheap.
