Getafe boss, Luis Garcia, has claimed that he had trust in his players and that is why he did not need to motivate them after they managed to come back with a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720 Gonzalez’s strike right before the interval gave the visitors, Valladolid, the lead. The hosts tried to get back into the game as they pushed forward. They created chances after chances but were unable to penetrate the backline
of their opponents.
Finally, their pressure paid off after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Ruano-c4977 Delgado pulled one back for his side in the 74th minute. And just four minutes later, Getafe got their second of the night after Angel Lafita found the winner goal.
Garcia commented on the match and mentioned that he did not see the need to motivate his players in the dressing room. He said his players were self-motivated and all he needed was to remind them not to lose the match.
“We talked about not losing the match. But I could see the players had a rage inside them, so I almost didn't have to talk to them.”
That is exactly how his players responded as they came back from behind and won all the three points for their boss.
“I had full confidence in the players, and they proved me right. They showed a lot of character.”
The Getafe boss has also remarked on the fact that his starting line-up was entirely comprised of Spanish players. He stated that he was not aware of it and that he is happy that the club is producing players that are eligible for
the Spanish national team.
“I did not know that. But I am very happy. The club is committed to creating players eligible for the national team.”
Meanwhile, his counterpart, Miroslav Dukic, shared his opinion on the match. He believes his team had a good game and deserved more than they got from the match.
“I leave here with the feeling that the team played well, but could have got more. We have not taken the points we deserved.”
The Serbian boss also said a draw would have been a fair result for both teams.
“I think a draw would have been just.”
Valladolid’s four match unbeaten streak has come to an end after last night’s game.
